Alexa Sand

Alexa’s interest in animals comes from the medieval manuscript illuminations she studies as an art historian of the later Middle Ages at Utah State University. She is also inspired by the abundant wildlife of her northern Utah mountain home and her distinguished feline housemate, Sir Spiderington.

Ian F. MacInnes

Ian’s southern Michigan farm is home to an assortment of real (and fantastic) animals from horses to chickens, creatures which serve as unwitting backdrops for his interest in representations of animals and the environment in Renaissance literature, particularly in Shakespeare. When not podcasting he teaches English at Albion College.
